National Honor Societies to Host Community Meal

On Saturday, January 14, 2017, the Traverse City West Senior High School, Traverse City Central High School, and St. Francis High School National Honor Societies will host a community meal at Central Grade School from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (301 West Seventh St.). The student-led event brings together outstanding high school students who have demonstrated their scholarship, leadership, service, and character to offer a warm meal to those in need. The goal is to support the community after the holiday season, while connecting students from different schools together in service. The meal is free and will include a main course and sides. Local event sponsors include Maxbauer’s Meat Market, Olesons, Jimmy John's, Boone's Long Lake Inn, and Alpers Insulation.
