Traverse Heights Elementary School Receives $5,000 Donation from New Burlington Store

Burlington Stores, the national off-price retailer, through its partnership with the national non-profit organization, AdoptAClassroom.org, has donated $5,000 towards school supplies to Traverse City Area Public Schools' (TCAPS) Traverse Heights Elementary School in celebration of its new store now open in Traverse City at 3450 W South Airport Rd.

TC Central and TC West Football Annual Crosstown Game September 18th

Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) is pleased to announce that in light of recent changes to the rules regarding high school football this fall, the annual crosstown rivalry between the Traverse City Central High School Trojans and the Traverse City West Senior High School Titans will take place on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Calendar Reminders for Sept. 8-18

The two hour early release day originally scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2020, has been canceled. Families and staff will continue to follow the remote schedule currently in place for face-to-face students, or will follow the virtual program schedule, as has been previously shared by your student's school or learning program.

Free Meal Program Extended Through December

TCAPS is pleased to announce that the United States Department of Agriculture is extending a suite of nationwide waivers through the end of 2020 (or until funding runs out) that allows the school district to continue providing healthy and nutritious meals to students free of charge.
