TCAPS is pleased to announce that four students have been selected as finalists in the 9th annual Young Playwrights Festival.
On Monday, March 2, 2020, Traverse Heights Elementary School (933 Rose St.) will host a Family Reading Night from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the school.
On Saturday, March 14, 2020, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. the Traverse City Central Trojan Athletic Boosters will host the 2020 Trojan Booster Bash in the Motor City at The Park Place Convention Center (300 E. State Street).
TCAPS is pleased to announce that Traverse City Central High School student, Elizabeth Saunders, has received the 2020 Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Scholar-Athlete Award.

Traverse City Central High School’s Vocal Department will host Disney, Desserts & Broadway! Performances will be held Friday, March 6, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the school’s auditorium (1150 Milliken Dr.).

TCAPS elementary schools will host kindergarten parent meetings beginning in March for families interested in learning more about TCAPS’ kindergarten programs and the enrollment process for the 2020-2021 school year.
Today, TCAPS held its February 2020 “count day,” a district-wide student count to determine enrollment numbers. The preliminary student count numbers show total enrollment has increased in comparison to last year’s enrollment.
Representatives from Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in assisting school boards with superintendent searches, will facilitate two open forums to help identify the characteristics and skills desired for the next TCAPS superintendent.
TCAPS is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from The Art and Mary Schmuckal Family Foundation.
Traverse City West Senior High School and Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) have partnered to offer a new Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program to students at TC West.
On Thursday, February 27, 2020, Traverse City High School will host its annual “Maverick Minds All Arts Fair: Giving Back” from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the school’s Maverick Activity Center (3962 Three Mile Rd. N.).
