Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) is pleased to announce that the Traverse City Central High School (CHS) student-led solar project is ready for installation.
Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) has been made aware of the test results for its drinking water well at Blair Elementary School, which show PFAS levels as “non-detect,” or that no traceable level of the contaminant was found during testing.
Traverse City Central High School alumnus, Brian Katona, recently won an Emmy Award for Best Musical Composition for his score to the short documentary film, “The Builder.”

TCAPS has been working on a district-wide effort to update phone systems to new e911 compliance standards. The improvements will allow for increased safety and reduced responder response time in the event of an emergency.
Families in the Traverse Heights neighborhood will again have the chance to receive book deliveries over the summer months from the Traverse Heights Book Mobile.
On Wednesday, May 30, 2018, the TCAPS Board of Education will host the 2018 Retirement Reception to honor all district employees retiring this school year.
