Please note today, August 19th, is the last date to register for extended day child care services in order to be considered for placement for the first week of school (Sept. 3-6). Students must be registered with all forms completed no later than 11:59 p.m. tonight. This deadline is necessary to ensure appropriate staffing.
TCAPS is pleased to work in partnership with the TC Coast Guard Committee, to host the Coast Guard Cup. The Grand Haven High School football team will take on TC West Senior High School's Varsity football team at Thirlby Field on Friday, September 6, 2019, at 7:00 p.m.
On Sunday, August 18, 2019, the Traverse City West Senior High School Girls’ Golf team will host a car wash fundraiser from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Interlochen Golf Course (10586 US-31).
On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Traverse City West Senior High School’s Titan Football program is hosting a golf outing fundraiser beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Interlochen Golf Course (10586 US-31).
TCAPS is pleased to announce that due to high demand, a new section of Young Fives Kindergarten has been opened at Eastern Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year. Currently, a few slots are available.
Students in grades 6-12 planning to try out for any TCAPS sport this fall (including LEAP) will need to have a current athletic physical form on file with the school prior to participating in any tryouts or practices. Athletic physicals must be dated on or after April 15, 2019, to be considered current.
TCAPS is pleased to announce that Traverse City Central High School (#1150) and Traverse City West Senior High School (#1649) have both been ranked among the top 8 percent of America’s 22,000 high schools on the 2019 Jay Mathews Challenge Index.
Online registration for TCAPS’ extended day child care is going on now. To be guaranteed placement and be able to utilize extended day services for the first week of school (Sept. 3-6, 2019), students must be registered with all forms completed no later than August 19, 2019.
On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., a STEM activities event will be hosted under the yellow tent at the Grand Traverse Resort (100 Grand Traverse Village Blvd.).
UPDATE: The launch was postponed until tomorrow (July 25th) due to weather. It is scheduled for 6:01 p.m. ET.
The district will be performing necessary annual server maintenance from noon to midnight (12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) on Friday, June 28, 2019.

The Traverse City Central High School Junior Achievement class is coming to a close for the semester. Front Street Treats, as the business was called, exceeded its sales goal and sold 200 gift baskets to the public.
Summer office hours will begin for TCAPS schools beginning Monday, June 17, 2019.
On Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., eighth grade science students from Traverse City West Middle School will premiere documentaries they produced in collaboration with LIAA, Traverse Area Community Media (formerly UpNorth Media), Nature Change, and Grand Traverse Stewardship Initiative.
