Traverse City Central High School has selected Charlie Needham to serve as the Varsity Girls’ Soccer Head Coach and Lois McManus to serve as the Varsity Boys’ Golf Head Coach.
The SCI-MA-TECH program, offered at Central High School and West Senior High School, is accepting applications now through March 1, 2019. SCI-MA-TECH is open to all Grand Traverse area students.
Traverse City West Senior High School presents the Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon “Newsies” March 8-17, 2019. Newsies tells the story of the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899 against Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst.

Blair Elementary was awarded a trophy for having the most participants from any one school participate in the 2019 Junior VASA Ski race. The event was held on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Ten of the 44 registered youth skiers were from Blair Elementary School.
Two student-athletes from Traverse City Central High School, Jade Turner and Edward (Ted) Roe, have been named winners of the Michigan High School Athletic Association's (MHSAA’s) 2019 Scholar-Athlete Awards.
TCAPS is pleased to announce that five students have been named Finalists in the 2019 National Merit Scholar Competition.
Jessica Chapman, a junior at Traverse City Central High School won a silver medal for writing and an honorable mention for art in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
Traverse City Central High School’s Choral-Aires will be performing singing valentines February 14-16, 2019. Singing valentines include: a performance of two a cappella songs, a rose with a vase, chocolate, and a card with a personal greeting.
Traverse City Central High School’s Vocal Department will host Disney, Desserts & Broadway! Performances will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the school’s auditorium (1150 Milliken Dr.).
Food assistance resources are available for families who may have been impacted by the recent government shutdown, participate in the SNAP-Ed program, have experienced a change in income or are living on a tight budget.
Traverse City Central High School’s Eurochorale hosts Meals for Musicians, where generous local eateries donate a percentage of sales to support the 2019 Eurochorale. TCAPS elementary schools will host kindergarten enrollment meetings beginning in February and March for families interested in learning more about TCAPS’ kindergarten programs and the enrollment process.
TCAPS’ secondary schools will host parent/student orientation meetings to share information about courses and electives available next school year.
