Central High School Students Present Rendezvous—May 30th-31st

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, and Friday, May 31, 2019, students from Traverse City Central High School will present Rendezvous, a showcase concert, at the school’s auditorium (1150 Milliken Dr.). The show starts at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:15 p.m.).

TCAPS Board of Education Selects Final Candidate in Superintendent Search

The Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) Board of Education voted unanimously (7-0) to select Ms. Ann Cardon to move on to the final round of the superintendent selection process. Ms. Cardon will be invited to a “fit to district” tour, which will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

14th Consecutive Certificate of Financial Excellence for Outstanding Financial Reporting

The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has awarded Traverse City Area Public Schools with the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. The award marks the 14th consecutive year the district has received this honor, which recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability.

West Middle School Students to Participate in Annual “Project Greenagers” Community Service Project

On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the Traverse City West Middle School 8th grade class will participate in its annual community service project called Project Greenagers. Each 8th grade team will be working with a different community organization on projects that service local natural resources.
