Students in grades 6-12 planning to try out for any TCAPS sport this fall (including LEAP) will need to have a current athletic physical form on file with the school prior to participating in any tryouts or practices. Athletic physicals must be dated on or after April 15, 2019, to be considered current.
TCAPS is pleased to announce that Traverse City Central High School (#1150) and Traverse City West Senior High School (#1649) have both been ranked among the top 8 percent of America’s 22,000 high schools on the 2019 Jay Mathews Challenge Index.
On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., a STEM activities event will be hosted under the yellow tent at the Grand Traverse Resort (100 Grand Traverse Village Blvd.).
The district will be performing necessary annual server maintenance from noon to midnight (12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) on Friday, June 28, 2019.

The Traverse City Central High School Junior Achievement class is coming to a close for the semester. Front Street Treats, as the business was called, exceeded its sales goal and sold 200 gift baskets to the public.
Summer office hours will begin for TCAPS schools beginning Monday, June 17, 2019.
The Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) Board of Education voted unanimously (7-0) to select Ann Cardon as the district’s next superintendent at a special meeting held today.
Traverse City Central High School athletic trainer, Amy Ream, has been named the Secondary School Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Michigan Athletic Trainers Society (MATS).
