Welcome to Silver Lake Elementary School

Silver Lake Elementary School, serving preschool through fifth grade students, is located in a residential area just west of Traverse City and is one of 11 elementary schools in the Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) district.

Silver Lake’s staff is dedicated to providing a high-quality education to all students. High expectations for student citizenship and academic performance are priorities for staff, parents, and students.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer and become active in their child’s school. Collaborative work with families and the community ensures high standards, hands-on learning, and enrichment activities.
