Dear Community & Staff,
With heartfelt gratitude, I wish to thank our voters for passing the 10-year operating millage renewal for Traverse City Area Public Schools. The passage of this millage allows our district to collect our state per pupil foundation allowance which provides TCAPS with the necessary revenue to support day-to-day expenses such as staffing, utilities, supplies, materials, and all costs associated with educational and co-curricular programs. On behalf of all TCAPS staff, thank you for your continued support of students and public education.
Dear Staff & Families,
In coordination with Safe Schools Week, TCAPS wishes to provide an update on a variety of ongoing safety and security measures happening across the district. These efforts include the work and collaboration with local authorities, neighboring districts, and all TCAPS staff and students.

Dear TCAPS Families,
I would like to provide you with information relating to the November 5 election. The ballot includes a ten year operating millage renewal for Traverse City Area Public Schools. While all who reside in the TCAPS boundaries will have this proposal on their ballots, it is only levied against properties considered non-primary residence properties, which are essentially businesses, industrial properties, and second homes located within the school district boundary. To clarify, a non-homestead operating millage does not apply to primary residences and other exempt property.
