Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) is pleased to announce that Traverse City Central High School and Traverse City West Senior High School have been recognized as being ranked among the nation’s best high schools this year by U.S. News and World Report. Both high schools have also been recognized as Academic State Champs by Bridge Magazine.
Online registration for TCAPS’ 2019-2020 tuition-based preschool programs will reopen on April 22, 2019. All interested families are invited to sign up during this time and are encouraged to register early as space is limited.
Generations Ahead, a support program for pregnant and parenting teens in the Grand Traverse region, is seeking volunteer mentors to work individually with program clients.
TCAP’S Global Service will host its annual Cinco de Mayo dinner and silent auction at the Masonic Lodge (13360 S. W. Bay Shore Dr.) on Saturday, May 4th, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The Traverse City Area Public Schools Board of Education will host “Office Hours” (formerly known as Coffee Conversations) on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at Horizon Books (243 E. Front Street).

TCAPS will host the 3rd annual TCAPS K-12 Arts Gala beginning with an opening night reception on April 10, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the TCAPS Boardman Administration Building (412 Webster St.).
Traverse City Central High School will host the FIM District FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Competition, April 4-6, 2019 (1150 Milliken Dr.).
The TCAPS Board of Education has made a survey available to gather feedback from the community about what qualities matter most in our next district leader. The survey will be posted until April 30th and participation is anonymous. It can be accessed at: www.tcaps.net/superintendentsearch.
