Traverse City Central High School alumnus, Brian Katona, recently won an Emmy Award for Best Musical Composition for his score to the short documentary film, “The Builder.”
TCAPS is announcing the opportunity to apply for an interim seat on the Board of Education. Interested candidates should submit a written letter of interest, including a short statement regarding the qualities and experience the candidate brings to the position, by July 5, 2018.
The TC Central High School Library has been awarded “Exemplary” status as a Michigan school library for 21st Century Schools.

TCAPS has been working on a district-wide effort to update phone systems to new e911 compliance standards. The improvements will allow for increased safety and reduced responder response time in the event of an emergency.

The Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District, Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, and TBA Credit Union have announced the 2018 Outstanding Educator Award recipients, which includes five honorees from TCAPS.
Thirty-five students from across Northern Michigan presented research projects at the 14th Annual Northern Michigan Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Symposium (NMMESS) on May 17, 2018.
