2009-2010 REVISED School Start/Dismissal Times:
Revised dismissal times for TCAPS' schools take effect on Monday, March 15th. Fifteen minutes have been added to the school day for the remainder of the school year.

2009-2010 School Year Calendar Revision Information
The school calendar for 2009-2010 has been revised and will result in the elimination of half days as well as allow for greater flexibility in setting the calendar for next year. Due to a change in the School Aid Act, it was necessary for the calendar changes be made yet in the 2009-2010 year in order to be implemented in 2010-2011.

School Board Selects Superintendent Search Firm
TCAPS Board of Education has selected the Michigan Leadership Institute (MLI) to conduct the search for prospective Superintendent candidates. At the March 2nd Board of Education meeting four firms were interviewed and had the opportunity to present to TCAPS’ Board of Education.

TCAPS Offers All Day / Every Day Kindergarten
at ALL Elementary Schools Beginning Fall 2010!
 
TCAPS’ commitment to early childhood learning success has been part of our vision to provide every student with a strong foundation.  Since 2007- 2008, the District has been expanding All Day / Every Day Kindergarten programs that are currently offered at six elementary schools.

CogAT Testing for TAG Program - March 17, 2010
TCAPS will administer the CogAT for any current 3rd grade student in the community who has not previously been tested. Testing will take place on Wednesday, March 17th, at Central Grade School, 301 West Seventh Street. Registration is required. To register, contact the Gifted Services Office at (231) 933-1772.

New Immunization Requirements for 2010!
All children who enter and attend schools in Michigan are required by state law to have a certificate of immunization on file. 

H1N1 Flu Updates: Reminder to parents that H1N1 flu vaccine boosters are needed for children under the age of 10.
