65 West Senior High School students participated in the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association District 2 Solo & Ensemble Festival on Saturday, February 7th at Kingsley High School. All West students earned medals at the festival. There were 24 first division solos and 14 first division ensembles, as well as 13 second division solos and 3 second division ensembles. Students who earned a first division rating are eligible to perform in the State Solo & Ensemble Festival on March 21st. Congratulations to all these students on their hard work and excellent performances!

Congratulations to TC West Senior High Band members Eric Haag, Porter Lawens, Rhys Miller, and Evan Tamlyn, who performed this past weekend as members of the MSBOA All-State Ensembles at the Michigan Music Conference in Grand Rapids. These students were selected through a rigorous, blind audition process.

Due to the inclement weather closure, we are moving the 2-hour early release to Thursday, March 26, 2026. Based on staff and community feedback, we want to prioritize full days of instructional time for this upcoming week.
