GIVING TREE: The Long Lake community is amazing! Thank you very much for your dedication to helping those in need in our community. Most of the tags have been taken from the tree and some extras have been put up for each family. We are so thankful for all that you do to support our students. A reminder that The Giving Tree project is coming to an end next week. Please be sure to have gifts wrapped, tagged and put under the tree by Thursday, December 14th!
STUDENT RUN CREDIT UNION: This year Long Lake Elementary is participating in a TBA Student-Run Credit Union! Our first deposit day is this week! The deposit days are December 13, January 10, February 14, March 13, April 10, May 8th starting at 9:05 AM. Our Money Magic Club is an excellent opportunity for student to create a savings account and start saving money at a young age! To sign your student up for a Money Magic savings account, please pick up an application from the main office or scan the QR code below. Once your student has an account, they can come to the art room to make deposits on our deposit dates. EARLY RELEASE THIS THURSDAY December 7: Just a reminder that this Thursday, December 7th is an Early Release Day for students. Long Lake dismisses at 2:01 PM on Thursday!
PTO INFORMATION:
HOLIDAY MOVIE NIGHT: The holiday movie winner is "The Polar Express" (Rated G)! Please join us this coming Friday, December 8th at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event for families. Bring your blankets and water bottles. PTO will provide free popcorn!
PTO LARGE PURCHASE IDEAS: We are looking for great ideas from you! There is $5,000 reserved in our 2023-2024 budget for a larger purchase to benefit the school, students, and staff. These purchases need to provide a positive impact for our students. Please see the link below to submit an idea. Deadline is Friday, December 15, 2023.

If you'd like to help support Long Lake families during this holiday season, please look through the following list and sign up for any item(s) you intend to buy - the sign up is anonymous, so other donors will not see your name or information. Once a gift is purchased, please wrap it and write the number (and letter if applicable) on a tag or paper attached to the gift so we can make sure each present gets to the right family. Gifts should be dropped off at Long Lake Elementary by Thursday, December 14th. The gifts will be delivered to the families soon after this date, so it is very important to have the gift at the school, wrapped, and tagged by Thursday, December 14th. If it is more convenient, please feel free to have online purchases delivered to Long Lake Elementary at the following address: 7600 N Long Lake Rd, Traverse City, MI 49685 by Thursday, December 14th. Make sure to include the correct number (and letter if applicable) in the "gift message" box so we can make sure it gets to the correct student.
