TCAPS’ West Senior High School is pleased to announce that its winning student-designed experiment is scheduled to launch on SpaceX-18 at 7:32 p.m. ET, July 21, 2019, from Launch Complex 40, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The district will be performing necessary annual server maintenance from noon to midnight (12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) on Friday, June 28, 2019.

The Traverse City Central High School Junior Achievement class is coming to a close for the semester. Front Street Treats, as the business was called, exceeded its sales goal and sold 200 gift baskets to the public.

On Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., eighth grade science students from Traverse City West Middle School will premiere documentaries they produced in collaboration with LIAA, Traverse Area Community Media (formerly UpNorth Media), Nature Change, and Grand Traverse Stewardship Initiative.

On Monday, June 24, 2019, the Traverse City Area Public Schools Board of Education will host a reception from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to honor TCAPS Superintendent Paul Soma, who will be retiring later this year.
Thirty-two students from across northern Michigan presented research projects at the 15th Annual Northern Michigan Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Symposium (NMMESS) on May 15, 2019.
On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, Traverse City West Senior High School Choirs will present “Cabaret”, a scholarship benefit concert at Corson Auditorium at Interlochen Center for the Arts (4000 M-137).
On Thursday, May 30, 2019, and Friday, May 31, 2019, students from Traverse City Central High School will present Rendezvous, a showcase concert, at the school’s auditorium (1150 Milliken Dr.). The show starts at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:15 p.m.).
On Thursday, May 23, 2019, a local representative of the Historical Society of Michigan will present awards to students from Traverse City East Middle School who advanced to the state and national levels of the competition.
