My teaching career began in 1997 with TCAPS. My first two years of teaching, I taught at Traverse Heights Elementary School and have been at wonderful Westwoods ever since. I am a native of Traverse City. Prior to teaching I worked as a dietician for fifteen years. I am blessed with a career that I love and a wonderful supportive family. My husband, Gary and I have four terrific children, our oldest, Brandon, is working in Tulsa Oklahoma, Karina is a senior at Central Michigan University, JJ is attending Northwestern Michigan University, and Lexi, our adorable adopted daughter from Hong Kong has been with us for six years and is attending West Senior High. The big news is that Lexi got her driving permit, but no license yet! We are blessed! In my free time I volunteer mentoring high school students, bike ride and roller blade with my husband and I love to cook and enjoy the outdoors in beautiful Northern Michigan.
