TC East Middle School students in the school’s digital media class created a short documentary about the local opioid crisis, titled “Predator & Prey: Opioids’ savage effect on our community,” which is now available to watch online.
February 14th Student Count Day
On Saturday, February 10, 2018, a mini documentary about the opioid crisis, which was created by students in East Middle School’s digital media class, will be shown between periods at the Grizzel Game Hockey Awareness Fundraiser that begins at 7:00 p.m. at Centre Ice Arena (1600 Chartwell Dr.).
TCAPS will host information sessions about the district’s enhanced science, math and technology program, called SCI-MA-TECH (SMT), on February 12, 2018, at Central High School, and February 13, 2018, at West Senior High School.
Student count day will be held on February 14, 2018.
On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Traverse City Central High School’s Trojan Men’s Basketball program will host Bounce House Night from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium (1150 Milliken Dr.).
On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, Traverse Heights Elementary School will host a community presentation of the OK2SAY/Cyber Safety Initiative program offered by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
East Middle School teacher, Jane Porath, and Traverse Heights Elementary School teacher, Caitlin Thomas, have both received National Board Certification.

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, Traverse City Central High School, in partnership with the Women's Resource Center, is hosting a free community screening of The Mask You Live In at 6:00 p.m. in the Central High School auditorium (1150 Milliken Dr.).
