About the Program

LEAP is pleased to partner with Worden’s Fastpitch Softball Training for girls in grades 5 – 12. These are 30-minute, private one-on-one lessons that take place at Worden’s location at 887 Lynch Drive in Traverse City. (off Garfield Rd. between Hammond and S. Airport). Training is open to beginning pitchers who are just learning the art of pitching and experienced pitchers who are looking to elevate their game. Instruction is designed to build proper fundamentals using current and appropriate progression techniques proportionate to each athlete’s age and skill level.

Session Information

  • Lessons and are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays. Sessions will be scheduled between 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
  • Lessons are 30 minutes in length.
  • All training sessions are scheduled directly through Worden’s Fastpitch Training by calling 269.808.0962.
  • All pitchers are required to supply their own catcher for each lesson. All catchers under the age of 18 will be required to wear a catcher’s mask at all times. Masks will be available for those who do not have their own.

Participation Fee

  • $35 – Introductory 30-minute session (includes evaluation and assessment). Every participant must attend before scheduling further sessions.
  • $225 – Private Training Package is available after the introductory session has been completed. Package includes eight (8) consecutive weekly 30-minute lessons.

  • Participated in 3 College World Series finishing in the top 10 all 3 years

  • Worden’s Softball Academy ~ Director of Softball/Head Instructor (2000-2013)
  • Began a softball training business in the year 2000 with just a handful of students after leaving WMU and grew the academy to employ 16 softball trainers supported by an administrative staff of 9 members to provide softball training to over 225 students on a weekly basis.
