Dear Long Lake Families,
If you are finding that your budget needs have changed during the school year, please know that you are always able to complete an application to provide both breakfast and lunch to your children here at Long Lake. The application is available through our office or by contacting TCAPS’ Food Services directly at 933-1911. The application is confidential; no school staff, with the exception of our kitchen staff, knows which students benefit from receiving free or reduced meals.
In addition to helping your child(ren) perform at their very best, the school also receives a benefit from these applications. If enough of our families qualify by count day each February, we will receive federal funds through Title I for the following school year. The amount of this money can be up to $40,000 each year. This allows us to provide additional services and programs for our students.
