Innovative multifaceted delivery of educational programs
Evidence-Based Practices in Online Learning: A Meta-Analysis and Review of Online Learning Studies (2009) outlines 12 years of the research (more than a thousand empirical studies) of support for blended instruction and online learning. Key findings recommend support for technology integration, increased learning through blended instruction, and affirm the positive impact of blended instruction on achievement levels. To better meet the needs of all students, we will differentiate instruction, create multiple pathways for learning, and use our community's many resources to provide 24/7 learning opportunities for ALL students. A Grand iLEARN Network will be created to provide students with a learning access point for curriculum content support and extended learning programs. To meet the needs for 21st century learning and to equip all students with necessary learning tools, we will identify funding sources that will make available a personal electronic learning device for every secondary student by the 2013-2014 school year. Our region's current focus on providing professional development for all area teachers to integrate technology into instruction is detailed with research and references at the TBAISD Moodle site which includes a course for blended instruction.
