The Mission of Willow Hill Elementary, an exemplary neighborhood school, is to provide opportunities for all students to become confident, life-long learners, and contributing global citizens. New Principal Assigned to WH
Traverse City Area Public Schools selected Colleen Smith as the new principal of East Middle School and Angela Sides-McKay as the principal of Willow Hill Elementary School. The changes were effective on July 1, 2014.
Sides-McKay joined TCAPS as the principal of Silver Lake Elementary School in 2002. She later served as the Director of Early Childhood and Special Education before taking on her current role as principal at Old Mission Peninsula School and Eastern Elementary School. She has served as the principal at both schools from 2011 through this school year.
Sides-McKay received her Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching, her Masters of Arts in Literacy Instruction and her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Michigan State University.
