Cherry Knoll PTO
The goal of the CK PTO is to assist the Cherry Knoll staff wherever we can to improve and enhance our children’s educational experience. The PTO works to accomplish this by having fundraisers, organizing family activity nights, assisting in classrooms, and supporting school events. All of the PTO fundraising efforts go directly back to the children’s classrooms, school and playgrounds.
Cherry Knoll is the only school in the TCAPS district that pays 100% of our student’s field trips and we are very proud to be able to do this.
Please join us and learn more at our meetings and events. We welcome new faces, fresh ideas, and as always, help from parents and family members. Our meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month during the school year. Free childcare is available and every parent in attendance is entered into a drawing to win a prize for their child’s classroom. Hope to see you there!

Fall 2011 Box Top Contest
Congratulations to Mr. Cooper's Class! They took first place in the
box top contest between the classes at Cherry Knoll collecting 1,918
box tops. During the contest we collected a total of 13,778 box tops which
raised $1,377.80. This is incredible! We would like to thank ALL the
students and ALL the parents for participating in this contest. This is great free
money we are collecting to help our school.

Cindy at Neighborhood Video has decided to retire. We wish her well and thank her so much for all of her support of our Cherry Knoll activities. Thank you, Cindy!

It is hard to believe it is carnival and auction time again. Where does a year go? We need everyone’s help to make this fundraiser a success. Money raised with this silent auction goes to next year’s field trips. We are sticking with the Wildcat Safari theme so remember to wear your spiritwear!

Your purchases put 77 books into the classrooms, $455 worth of books in the library, and $1,554 in cash to the library for future purchases. Thank you to everyone who helped make our book fair a huge success!

Our next FREE movie night will feature Cars II. Wear your jammies, bring a blanket, and join us in the gym for a fun family evening. The movie starts at 6:30 PM. Popcorn and water will again be available for $.50 each. Thank you to Neighborhood Video for sponsoring our movie nights.

Little Caesar’s Sale Was A Success!
Final figures are not in yet but it looks like Cherry Knoll will earn about $8,500 from our pizza sales! Congratulations to our top sellers McKenzie Dreves, Andrea Finch, Macy Plamondon, and Morgan Wright. Ms. Moe’s class won for highest sales percentage. Way to go Wildcats!
Scholastics Book Fair
The book fair will be open Oct 11 for conferences and be open 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM until Oct. 20th. Please stop by our library and take a look at the selections. Profits earned will go to our library. Contact Vicki Van Nes if you’d like to help at cherryknollpto@charter.net.

Order forms came home with your child during the first week of school. Order forms and full payment are due back Thursday, Sept. 22nd, by 9:30 AM to be eligible for the top prizes. Prizes will be given to the top three sellers and every participant who sells at least one item will also get a special treat.
