Central Grade School 2011-2012 Stats
Central School...where lifelong learning begins. Our school community is characterized by a diverse student body. We currently house about 600 students. This includes about 500 regular education, 70 talented and gifted, 15 Young 5's, 24 ECP's, 27 PreSchool and 44 special education students. While some students are transported from all over our district, as well as from other districts, over 70 Central Grade students walk to school. This historic, brick building is located in the heart of Olde Towne Traverse City. Its recent renovation has preserved our oldest neighborhood school.
When visiting the school...
Please enter the building through the Wadsworth Street door located by the parking lot and be sure to stop by the office to pick up a visitors pass before going to your destination. The Wadsworth Street door will be the only door unlocked from the outside during the school day.
