Traverse City Area Public Schools celebrates the many achievements of TCAPS' "Class of 2011" students. The Community Foundation is home to many unique scholarship funds that are available for a variety of students, ranging from local soccer players, to students pursing technical or vocational careers, to those planning to work with persons with disabilities, and more. In total, the Community Foundation awarded more than $120,000 in scholarships to support students furthering their education.
Through a unique partnership with TCAPS, the Community Foundation manages and distributes local scholarships to benefit graduating seniors from Traverse City Central, Traverse City West and Traverse City High. In 2011, the Community Foundation plans to disburse $52,000 in scholarship awards to benefit more than 90 TCAPS students.
