Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) classes are part of a nationally recognized College Board program that gives students the opportunity to take college-level courses and exams while still in high school.
In the 2008-2009 school year, 630 student took 1, 036 AP tests. Universitys grant credit hours to students who score between 3 and 5 on an AP test, 5 being the highest score. In the 2008-2009 school year, 74.8% of the 1,036 AP tests taken by TCAPS' students scored between 3 and 5. National AP tests are administered locally each May.
