Mr. Timothy Hysell - Physical Education Teacher
My name is Timothy Hysell and I teach Physical Education at Willow Hill Elementary. I currently teach grades 2nd-5th at Willow Hill and I also teach at Traverse Heights Elementary. This is my fifteenth year teaching and tenth year working for TCAPS and I love every minute of it.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in Physical Education and Exercise Science/Education and a Master’s Degree from Grand Valley State University in Educational Leadership.
Each new day presents new challenges to grow stronger with body and mind. It is my goal to provide your child with the knowledge and practice to live a long healthy, lifestyle. We concentrate on challenging ourselves today to improve ourselves for tomorrow.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, doing activities outdoors, playing ice hockey, exercising vigorously, and learning about new things. I always seem to find something new to explore.

Miss Mary Radecki - Physical Education Teacher
I have taught in the elementary physical education setting for twenty-six years. I have also taught in the elementary classroom for four years. My formal training includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in physical education (K-12 Certificate), a classroom certificate (K-8), and an Art Certificate (K-8). Fire Up Chips! I also have thirty hours beyond my Master’s in elementary education.
Through the years I have coached various elementary sports, developed and ran a Swim Program for elementary children, and had the honor of piloting an Action Based Learning Lab. I have published a book called “Get Your Brain In The Game” and it is being sold through PECentral.com. This book has led me to be a presenter at our MAHPERD Convention. ( Michigan Association of Recreation and Dance), as well as many good conversations with many colleagues in my field.
Teaching is my PASSION! I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was five years old. I like writing lessons that pull the CORE-CURRICULUM into Physical Education. What a great place to reinforce and practice skills to help our students! I enjoy your child and hope she/he LOVES to come to my class. That is what it is all about for me!
I have many hobbies… Family, I built my house, Kayaking, Fishing Tournaments, Camping, Hiking, Quilting, Beaching, Gardening (flowers and veggies), Woodshop, Reading, Sports of Course!
