Mr. Edward Hargis - Fourth Grade Teacher
My name is Edward Hargis and I teach fourth grade at Willow Hill. I have taught elementary school for over 25 years. I have Bachelor Degrees from Michigan State University and Wayne State University. I also completed a Masters degree in teaching reading at Central Michigan University.
I love guiding fourth graders to think more deeply, whether it is while solving a math problem or making decisions about his/her writing. I really enjoy getting to know all of my students and their families. My joy comes from doing the best I can to serve each family and to help students grow and mature.
My family is my other joy. My daughter, Hannah, is married with two sons. She will complete her Registered Nursing degree in the spring. My daughter, Cora, was once a student at Willow Hill. Now she is in her third year of college at DePaul in Chicago. My wife, Peggy, and I live in this neighborhood. I enjoy carpentry, woodworking, biking, hiking, reading, being active, and the Upper Peninsula.
