The course, taught by teacher Jody Mackey, exposes students to broadcast communication techniques, interview skills, camera operation, storyplanning, and editing skills. Broadcast journalism consists of the implementation of the writing process, reporting, communication skills, and technology skills to produce quality video projects in the form of news programs, skits, commercials, and documentaries. The Broadcast Journalism course provides students with instruction in television/video production by providing training in equipment operations, reporting, and scriptwriting, as well as planning, directing, and producing video projects. Broadcast Journalism is available as a semester or full year course. |
