As the students completed the ACT/MME last spring, college scoring is wrapped up and the students are sorting out their choices for next year. If you haven’t had an opportunity to begin conversations about what next year holds for your student, start today! Colleges and Universities will be looking for applications shortly for students for the 2010 – 2011 school year. During this process of sorting and analyzing, students and parents will need to spend some time on the government Financial Aid website - http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ - as this is the central clearing house for applying for financial aid. For so long, school has guided much of the decision making for your student. Now, things begin to open up and there are so many choices and decisions to make and you and your student are likely excited and apprehensive about these choices. Your students’ counselor can help shape the conversation and provide some direction and guidance on what situation would be a good fit for your students’ interest, transcript, and financial standing. Please give them a call if you have any questions.
The procedure for contacting the 12th Grade office regarding attendance (or really any question you may have) remains unchanged. Please call or send in a note for any absences that your student may have. We are unable to verify attendance notes sent by email, so we cannot accept them on attendance issue.
