The Pangea Choir Project
In Eight Easy Steps!
Jumping right into the recording may not be the best idea so we are here to help.

First: Listen to our Vocal Models by clicking the buttons on your left, and decide which model fits your vocal range. Practice by singing along with the model, I know you do it with the tunes on your iPod...we can hear you. You can also find and these tracks on iTunes.
Second: To download the "Sing Me the Universal" score click on the link below the Vocal Model for the vocal part you want to sing.
Third: Take a listen the Conductor Notes. Our conductor, Phil Johnson, will walk you through the score step by step. The video is full of great tips and advice to help you record an awesome submission. Make notes in your score as you listen to the "Notes". This will be very helpful when you are recording your submission. "Sing Me the Universal" is a vocally challenging piece but we know you can do it with a little help.

Fourth: Join the Pangea Community! Like us on "Facebook" or Follow us on "Twitter" if you have an account. Ask other Pangea Project Members for advice and suggestions.
Fifth: When you feel you are ready, read the helpful instructions below, fire up the Conductor Track below that matches your vocal part and "Sing me the Universal"!
Don't get discouraged if your first recording doesn't go well. Do the very best you can.
Sixth: Watch to your video before submitting to the Pangea Choir Project. Make sure the audio is of good quality and that you are satisfied with your singing. Also, make note of the video quality, we want you to look good in the Pangea Project Finalle! You can re-record as many times as it takes to get the submission you want.
Seventh: Time to Join the Choir and Submit Your Video! If you need a little help with submitting your video watch this tutorial. Mr. Johnson explains the submittal process from start to finish.
Eighth: Continue to follow the Pangea Choir Project. Look for your name on the recent uploads list. Follow the Pangea Choir Projects progress on Facebook, and Twitter.
Give advice to new members as the prepare to "Sing Me the Universal" and maybe make a new friend from another country!
Invite your friends from around the world to join the choir, everyone is invited!
You can even submit a second or third video, or even a video singing with your friends!.

Instructions for Recording
Your Video:
Here are some helpful instructions.
Make sure the lighting is sufficient. We want to be able to see you.
Is your room quiet. We want to hear your voice, not your fan, dog or cell phone!
Plug in your headphones.
Begin recording with your webcam.
Once you begin recording do not pause or stop the recording until prompted.
A countdown from 10 will begin.
The accompanist will start playing, followed by the conductor queing your vocals.
Remember: Please use your headphones as we want to record only your voice and not the accompanist piano.
Stay as silent as possible between your vocal parts and continue looking at the camera.
Continue recording through the countdown after the accompanist stops playing.
Well Done!
Feel free to re-record as many times as you’d like before you submit your video. We want you to sound your best.
