On Monday, April 27th, Joyce Davis, better known as the “Puppet Lady,” will present her puppets to TCAPS’ Montessori Toddler, Kindergarten, and Enrichment classes. Joyce will teach science and nature through the creative use of puppets in teaching and learning with the most entertaining and educational techniques.
Joyce Davis has had a love for children and puppets for over 30 years. Children listen and respond to the puppets in a magical way as Joyce captures that special mystic and makes learning extra fun! Joyce said, “I have been teaching children with puppets for many years and I continue to be amazed at how the children respond to puppets and their level of memory when taught by puppets.”
Joyce was the owner and Director of the largest preschool in Toledo, Ohio for over 29 years. She developed a nature-based curriculum with puppets as the stars. Joyce travels with her "magic basket" full of character puppets and entertains audiences of children of all ages at schools, libraries, museums, zoos, and churches. She has shared her enthusiasm for teaching through puppets with teachers, administrators, librarians, and parents throughout the country.
The performances will take place in the TCAPS’ Montessori Library at Glenn Loomis, 1009 Oak Street. Performance schedule will be:
