Traverse City Area Public Schools’ Music Department is proud to announce a premier showcase of A cappella singing by the Michigan State University Accafellas, The Spartan Dischords, and The Dicks and Janes in our area schools for three days. The showcases will lead up to the 7th Annual College A Cappella Night Concerts. The three-day tour scheduled show times are:
Accafellas
- TC Central High School January 9th at 9:00 a.m.
- TC East Middle School January 9th at 2:00 p.m.
- Interlochen Community School January 8th at 9:15 a.m.
- TC West Middle School January 8th at 2:00 p.m.
- TC West Senior High School January 8th at 11:30 a.m. and 12:34 p.m.
Dischords
- Blair Elementary School January 8th at 1:00 p.m.
- TC Central High School January 8th at 8:30 a.m.
- Long Lake Elementary School January 9th at 10:30 a.m.
- Silver Lake Elementary School January 9th at 1:00 p.m.
- Westwoods Elementary School January 9th at 9:15 a.m.
- Willow Hill Elementary School January 8th at 2:30 p.m.
The Dicks and Janes
- Central Grade School January 9th at 9:45 a.m.
- TC West Middle School January 9th at 2:00 p.m.
- TC West Senior High School January 9th at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Ticket prices are $5.00 per person and may be purchase in advance at Traverse City West Middle School or Traverse City West Senior High or by calling 933-8373. Tickets will also be available at the door prior to each show. The 7th Annual College A Cappella Night Concert will be held at the Lars Hockstad Auditorium at Traverse City Central Grade School, 301 West Seventh Street. Show times are as follows:
- Friday, January 9th, at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, January 10th, 2:00 p.m.
Note: When schools are in session, all visitors are required to sign in at the Main Office and receive a “Visitors Pass” upon entering a TCAPS school or event.
