On Tuesday, November 4th, students at Willow Hill Elementary School will take part in the 2008 Presidential Election. Willow Hill Parent Teacher Organization (WHO) will hold a mock secret ballot election for students to allow them to get involved with this year’s presidential election process. Students will vote for either Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama or Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain.
Students will also vote on the theme for the annual Willow Hill Elementary school carnival, Carnival 2009. Theme options are Western, Dr. Seuss, or Take Me Out to the Ballgame. Carnival 2009 will be held February 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Willow Hill Elementary School, 1250 Hill Street. The carnival is the main fundraiser for WHO. Carnival events will include food, games, prizes, and fun for the whole family.
Please contact Colleen Smith, Willow Hill Elementary School Principal, at 933-8542 for more information.
