On October 30th, Blair Elementary School students will enjoy a MEAP Celebration Concert in honor of their hard work and achievement during the MEAP testing period. The French Canadian Ensemble, Mauvais Sort, will share energetic music from around the world. The concert is sponsored by the Cherry Capital Chorus and will be held in the Blair Elementary School Gymnasium, 1625 Sawyer Road, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Mauvais Sort is in the Traverse City area for a series of workshops and concerts through the Dennos Museum. Multiple folk instruments will be used to tell stories and legends as they use their love for music in an exciting fashion that has captivated audiences in over 400 performances throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Oceania.
“Blair Elementary School students and staff thank the Cherry Capital Chorus for their many years of involvement and support.” said Margaret Pierson, Blair Elementary Music Specialist.
There is no charge for this event. Family and friends are welcome to attend. When schools are in session, all visitors are required to sign in at the Main Office and receive a “Visitors Pass” upon entering a TCAPS school or event.
