On Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Traverse City Central High School will honor current juniors and seniors who achieved a 3.5 or above (GPA) during the 2007-2008 school year at an Academic Awards Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. The academic award is determined by the average GPA of the two semesters, not the cumulative GPA that is reflected on report cards and transcripts.
Students who receive a 3.5 GPA can receive an academic letter the first year, a bronze pin for the second year, a silver pin for the third year and a gold pin at Honors Convocation in the spring of their senior year. Traverse City Central High School is proud to be recognizing 244 juniors and seniors will be recognized at the ceremony this year.
Parents, family, and friends are encouraged to attend to celebrate the students’ achievements.
