Beginning Thursday, November 6th through Sunday, November 16th, Traverse City Central High School will perform its 2008 fall musical, Rodger and Hammerstein’s Tony award winning “South Pacific.” Performances will alternate between two casts Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances begin at 3:00 p.m.
“South Pacific” is considered one of the finest musicals ever written and includes songs such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Younger than Springtime,” “Bali Ha’i,” “There is Nothin’ Like a Dame,” and “A Wonderful Guy.” The musical is adapted from the Pulitzer Prizewinning novel “Tales of the South Pacific.” It is produced and directed by Marilyn Tilley and choreographed by Lisa Reehorst with support of Tamara Grove, Central High School Choral Director, and under supervision of Wendee Wolf-Schlarf, TCAPS’ Music Department Coordinator.
Ticket prices are: $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students. A reduced ticket price of $10.00 is available for adults 65 years and older for the November 6th and November 13th performances only. TC Central Box Office is open Monday – Friday 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. beginning October 22nd.
