TCAPS’ Montessori Toddler Program currently has openings for children 18 months to three years of age. All public, private, and parochial students are welcome. There is no Traverse City Area Public Schools’ residency requirement. Children must meet all State of Michigan immunization and health regulations. The afternoon Toddler Program rate is $28.00 per half-day. Program hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday from
12:02 p.m. – 3:08 p.m.
Montessori methods of education are used in the goal of helping children to develop character, skills, and education. Activities in the Montessori Program are designed to be flexible enough to address each child’s individual developmental needs and they promote the development of social skills, emotional growth, and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation.
