Westwoods Elementary School added an additional preschool classroom and a Kindergarten Enrichment Program for the 2008-2009 school year. With an enrollment of 110 students to date, the programs have almost reached capacity. Adult/child ratios are one adult for every ten students in the two preschool classrooms and one adult for every eighteen students in the Kindergarten Enrichment Program.
“We are so pleased that our community responded to the additional preschool offerings this year,” said Sander Scott, Westwoods Elementary School Principal. “We offer two preschool classrooms for three and four year old children and a Kindergarten Enrichment class, all of which have nearly reached full capacity. Our community had a need and our school responded. That is what a partnership is all about. We still have openings available for families who may be considering enrolling their child at Westwoods”
