Transportation is available for incoming 9th graders to participate in a Freshmen Kick-Off Orientation at West Senior High School on August 27, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Freshmen registration will be immediately following orientation. All freshmen are expected to attend and should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
At the Kick-Off Orientation Day freshmen will meet the mentors that they will be working with all year. They will participate in activities that encourage early connection to other students and allow for answers to their questions. They will be officially registering after the orientation activities. Parents will attend informational sessions led by administrators. The goal is for everyone to leave feeling comfortable and ready to start the 2008-2009 school year.
Transportation is available upon request via TCAPS transportation department. If a pick up is necessary, parents of students should contact Cathy Meyer at 933-7591 or meyerca@wsh.tcaps.net, no later than July 30, 2008.
