Traverse Heights Elementary School will celebrate Thanksgiving with a feast for all Traverse Heights students and families on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 during the school’s regular lunch time periods from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Students will dress up as pilgrims, sit family style at nicely decorated tables and share conversation with staff, friends, and family. Fifth graders will help serve the meal throughout the event. The family style feast provides an excellent opportunity to reinforce social studies content and learn more about the first Thanksgiving.
