Four time MHSAA Division I All-State golfer and Traverse City Central High School Senior, Natalie Matuszak, has announced her plans to continue her golf and academic career next fall at St. Mary’s College, Nortre Dame, Indiana.
St. Mary’s College is a perennial NCAA Division III powerhouse and was recently ranked number three in the country (behind Princeton and Yale) by Golf Digest for schools that provide the best combination of academics and a competitive golf program.
In addition to All-State honors, Matuszak was also named Captain of the All-Region Dream Team all four years of her high school career. She also was a four-time selection to the Big North All-Conference Team and was named to the 2007 Division I State Finals All-Tournament Team. In her four-year career with the Traverse City Central High School Trojans she played in 65 events and finished in the top ten an impressive 57 times.
While playing for Traverse City Central High school, Miss Matuszak was coached by Lois McManus, her swing coach is Scott Hebert, and her parents are Jim and Cathy Matuszak.
