Traverse City Area Public Schools will be moving to 9-12 high schools beginning in the Fall of 2008. Parents and students are invited to attend information meetings scheduled in January to meet the high school counseling staff and to learn more about:
· What to expect for your student’s 9-12 high school experience
· How trimesters work
· How new high school graduation requirements will impact course selection
· The course selection process
Meetings will be held at Traverse City Central High School at 7:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria on the following dates:
- Incoming 9th Graders January 10, 2008 (if a snow day, then meet January 14th)
- Incoming 10th Graders January 7, 2008 (if a snow day, then meet January 9th)
- Incoming 11th and 12th Graders January 8, 2008 (if a snow day, then meet January 9th)
Meetings will be held at Traverse City West Senior High School at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium on the following dates and times:
- Incoming 9th Graders January 15, 2008 (if a snow day, then meet January 17th)
- Incoming 10th Graders January 7, 2008 (if a snow day, then meet January 14th)
- Incoming 11th and 12th Graders January 10, 2008 (if a snow day, then meet January 14th)
If you are unable to attend the meeting on your student’s assigned night, please feel free to join in on another night. Although the focus will be on another grade level, similar information will be presented.
