Glenn Loomis Elementary School students will celebrate Children’s Book Week with a cowboy theme. During the week of November 12 – 18, 2007 students will have the opportunity to participate in a cowboy sing-a-long with TBA-ISD teacher, Steve Krygier.  Sing-a-longs are planned for the following dates and times in the school library:

 

·        Monday, November 12th:            2:45 p.m.

·        Tuesday, November 13th:            11:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.

·        Wednesday, November 14th      12:50 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

·        Thursday, November 15th           9:00 a.m.

 

Students will also be celebrating books and tall tales of the Wild West on Monday, November 19, 2007. Students and staff will dress up like cowboys and cowgirls to get into the spirit of the Wild, Wild, West as they begin their Reading Roundup at the Glenn Loomis Corral.

 

Students will enjoy a dynamic assembly featuring tall tales of the Wild, Wild, West including Pecos Bill, Buffalo Bill, and Annie Oakley. Performances are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the school gymnasium.

 

Friends and family members are invited to come join the fun. Please check in at the Main Office prior to attending the performances. Space will be limited for the November 12 – 15 sing-a-longs.
