The television program Back to School: An Off the Record Special, delved into the problem of school funding in Michigan and what the State needs to do to ensure all children get an equal education. Legislators, state school officials, school administrators, teachers, parents, students, and policy analysts joined Tim Skubick in examining Michigan’s education funding crisis and looking ahead to the impact on the coming school year. Traverse City Area Public Schools’ Superintendent Jim Feil took part in the broadcast along with other citizens from the Grand Traverse Region.
The program, which originally aired August 21, will replay on TCAPS TV/98 on the following dates and times:
