Traverse City Central High School Senior April Naber was one out of 100 winners who recently were awarded a $2,500 PRIDE scholarship from Dobson Communications Corporation. Operating under the brand Cellular One, Dobson Communications is the largest independent rural wireless provider in the United States and operated the PRIDE Scholarship program for the past eleven years.
Applicants for the scholarship were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and be a prospective high school graduate. They also must be current customers of Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems or children of employees of Dobson Communications.
