On Thursday, May 3, 2007 Traverse City West Junior High School will proudly hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Titan School Store at 2:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place in the school store located near the main office.
The Titan School Store business venture has been created and led by students from the junior high school with teacher Joan Kroupa serving as their advisor. Funds to open the store and supply it with Titan merchandise were donated by the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade student councils and a generous grant from the Weigel Family Foundation.
The TC West Junior High School band will perform the school song at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Representatives from the Weigel Family Foundation will attend the ceremony giving the school an opportunity to say thank you for the generous donation.
