On Thursday, April 19, 2007 Traverse Heights Elementary School will host a Cultural Supper Series celebrating Latino Culture from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Sabin Elementary School Cafeteria. The evening will feature an educational presentation of by Ana Maria Hopkins of WNMC’s Latino Music Program, traditional food from Taqueria Margarita for everyone to enjoy, Latino dance performances ( Salsa and the Tango), and a piñata. All Traverse Heights Elementary School’s neighbors, students, families, staff, and friends are invited to attend this free event.
For the last three years, Traverse Heights Elementary School has celebrated the many cultures represented within the school community. These events provide an opportunity for students, families, and staff to learn more about one another as well as the Latino culture in the region.
