On Friday, March 30th, eighth graders at Traverse City West Junior High School will spend their day learning about different types of careers. Career Day runs from 7:50 a.m. to 11:08 a.m. (half day of school for all students). Local business members will visit classrooms to present students an overview of skills and education required to enter the job market and to provide information about their various careers including: firefighter, police officer, canine handler, sports writer, baseball player, psychologist, orthodontist, pharmacist, surgical technologist, critical care nursing, veterinarian, aviation director, and meteorologist.
