Willow Hill Elementary School will host a ‘Green Summit’ on Thursday, February 16th, at
5:30 p.m. in their Library. Parents are invited to become involved in planning for the future of the learning extension opportunities at Willow Hill Elementary School, made available through a recent grant award and parent donation.
Willow Hill Elementary School was recently awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grant totaling $4,950. In addition to the grant award, a very generous Willow Hill Elementary School family matched the Lowe’s grant, privately donating $5,000 toward upcoming projects including outdoor gardens, and the expansion of literacy resources and library offerings.
Willow Hill Elementary School Principal Colleen Smith stated, “ Green thumbs, gardeners, literacy lovers, and outdoor learning enthusiasts are welcome to attend. Input and participation in this wonderful outdoor learning extension is greatly appreciated.”
